David Garonzik was struck by Collier County’s rich cultural scene when visiting with his family in January of 2021. However, he also took notice of what he viewed as a surprising gap in the area’s arts offerings: an outlet for the presentation of vintage films.

Marco Island Center for the Arts is adding a “Film Noir” series to its 2024 lineup of events. In partnership with Naples Cinematheque, the Art Center is set to present curated classic films.

Garonzik and his business partner, his wife, Cecilia, are proposing a boutique cinema on the southeast corner of Thomasson and Bayshore drives that will specialize in vintage and personally curated films.
