PARAGON THEATERS ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE IN-THEATER PARTNERSHIP WITH NAPLES CINEMATHEQUE, EXHIBITOR OF VINTAGE CINEMA CLASSICS

Quentin Tarantino Cinema Speculation Film Series to Kickoff March 25th at Paragon Theaters Pavilion

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL, March 11, 2024 – Paragon Theaters today announced a new, year-long programming partnership with Naples Cinematheque—the premiere purveyor of alternative cinema in Southwest Florida. This strategic partnership will showcase treasured classics from the past 100 years of cinema, with screenings held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Paragon Theaters Pavilion in Naples, Florida, along with unique panel discussions with filmmakers and artists following select screenings.

A “Quentin Tarantino Cinema Speculation” Film Series kicks off March 25, beginning with his postmodern film narrative, KILL BILL (March 25 and March 27), followed by four key films which made a lasting impression on Tarantino as a young moviegoer:

  • DIRTY MARY, CRAZY LARRY (April 1)

  • ROLLING THUNDER (April 3)

  • THE GREAT SILENCE (April 8)

  • BLOW OUT (April 10)

Naples Cinematheque CEO and film historian, David Garonzik, will share meaningful context and retrospective to attending moviegoers.

Additional planned film series include THE GODFATHER trilogy; “Six Degrees of The Outsiders,” featuring THE OUTSIDERS, ST. ELMO’S FIRE, THE BREAKFAST CLUB, CLASS, KARATE KID, RISKY BUSINESS and ROAD HOUSE; and a tribute to the late director, Norman Jewison, with IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and the Academy-Award winning film, MOONSTRUCK. Film aficionados can expect to see a multitude of similar retrospectives series throughout the 2024.

Paragon Theaters Pavilion (833 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34108) is Naples’ hometown movie theater, offering the highest level in movie-watching technology and amenities, including Paragon Theaters’ exclusive Axis15 screens (tilted large format screen with 4K Laser Projection and Dolby Atmos sound) and their patented “VIP Lux Box Dine-In Seating” (private enclave of VIP seats with delivery service at your seat).

“Mike and I are excited to bring vintage cinema back to the silver screen here in Naples,” said Michael Whalen, co-CEO of Paragon Theaters with Michael Wilson. “Couple Paragon’s state-of-the art, groundbreaking movie watching amenities with the style and sophistication of David Garonzik and his Naples Cinematheque team, and it’s a win-win for all of the Naples audience. Seeing these curated classics on the Axis15 screen or from a Lux Box seat, and it will be a gamechanger for all cinema fans.”

“We’re so thankful to Paragon Theaters for this partnership, which greatly expands our audience reach by engaging with their moviegoers across the region,” said David Garonzik, Naples Cinematheque CEO. “Our goal at Naples Cinematheque is to time travel—to bring back the magic of going to the movies from yesteryear. We want people to take a chance and go see a film that they might never have even heard of or haven’t seen since its original release.”
